Aamir Khan holds Bachchans-Only screening of Peepli Live

While Aamir Khan had a general screening of Peepli Live for his other colleagues and friends early this week, for Big B and his parivar Aamir had an exclusive screening of Peepli Live on Thursday evening at Pixion.

Both Aamir and his wife Kiran were there to receive the Bachchans and watch the film with the mega-star.

After the show, Big B’s response to the film was, “Superb!”

Amitabh Bachchan and Sonu Sood cast as Father and Son

Casting Abhishek and his illustrious Bachchan father as son and father was seen as too predictable. In a film that marks the return of Telugu director Puri Jagannath to Bollywood, Sonu Sood, and not Abhishek, has been cast as Big B’s son.

It was felt by everyone that Sood bears an uncanny resemblance to the young Big B from the early 1970s.

Big B to perform hardcore action in Budda

The angry young man of 1970s is back in 2010. Amitabh Bachchan prepares to perform a hardcore action stunts in his upcoming movie Budda. Last time Big B was seen doin full fledged action in the movie Family – Ties Of Blood, in which he played a gangster Viren Sahi.

With Budda, Big B will be back to his underworld territory again as he did in Don in 1978. The film will be produced by Bachchan’s AB Corp.

The Big B’s unexpected guest appearance with Ajay Devgn

The buzz about Milan Luthria’s Haji Mastan bio-pic Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai is that Amitabh Bachchan makes a guest appearance in a very unexpected way.

When asked about the Bachchan presence in the film director Milan Luthria says, “I don’t know where you heard this. But it’s true. In the course of the film character of Ajay’s girlfriend, played by Kangana Ranaut, mentions to him that there should be a film made on his life. To this Ajay replies, ‘Now you want me to turn into an actor?’ Kangana then tells Ajay about this young intense actor named ‘Ami’, who is just right to play Haji Mastan”.

Abhishek Bachchan Wins ‘Best Anchor Male Award 2010’

Abhishek Bachchan is definitely following the footsteps of his legendary father Amitabh Bachchan as he has bagged the ‘Best Anchor Male Award 2010’ for his debut show ‘National Bingo Night’ in Colors.

Raavan, the latest release of junior Bachchan, could not make it big at the box office but he got noticed as an anchor for the game show.

Ashwini Yardi, the programming head of Colors, has handed over the award to Abhishek at the event in Mumbai. He has got this talent inherited from his father and gave the game show a feel of larger than life. This achievement must have made Big B proud of his son.

Abhishek bonded with the ‘Chak Dhoom Dhoom’ kids very well and enjoyed fully. Even while at stage, he did not forget to mention about these talented kids of the dance show, who performed at the ceremony.

Colors will air the awards function today. These awards were given to recognize and salute the brilliance amongst the debutantes in television.

You are back on ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ (KBC) though on a different channel this time. What made you agree to host the show for a third time?

Sony TV now has the rights for KBC and they approached me. They shared with me their research and the changes that they wished to incorporate in the show and I agreed.
