It’s almost official now. The startling musical journey of A. R. Rahman has now been chronicled by the maestro in an autobiography.

In Tamil and English, Rahman’s self-revelations to be published by Penguin will appear later this year after he finishes his current world tour and gets the time to put finishing touches to his startling tale, so far.

The autobiography was apparently commissioned by Penguin right after the Oscar triumph. Both, Rahman and sound designer Resul Pookutty, who won Oscars for their work in Slumdog Millionaire, were asked to put together their life stories, so far.

The famous Oscar winning composer, A.R Rahman, is facing a trauma right now. Rahman is not that much of a media person and mostly chooses to keep a low profile, especially when it comes to his family. Yesterday morning, Rahman’s youngest daughter, Raheema, was admitted to a super speciality hospital in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex. She was moved from Chennai to Mumbai for better recovery.

A R Rahman plans to be out of India for the longest period. And Bollywood filmmakers like Abbas Tyrewala and Mani Ratnam who have pending work with Rahman have pressed the panic button. Rahman won’t be available for film scores during most of 2010.

“It’s a very tough schedule for me this year” says Rahman. “I’ll be out of the country for five months which I’ve kept aside completely for the world tour.”

As predicted by me, Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Yuvvraj is sinking like Titanic. Titanic might have taken some time to sink, but Yuvraj started to sink right from the first minute of its departure.

‘Warning: Watching Yuvvraj is injurious to your mental health’ was written all over the movie promos, but me being me took that hidden courage (yeah, I keep for moments like this) and ventured to watch Yuvvraj last night, because I wanted to know how a lavish budgeted movie can go wrong with wrong subject, treatment and actors.

According to media reports, A R Rahman, the musical wizard, said in an interview that Himesh Reshammiya’s voice and the attitude by which he sings rightly fits for his new composition. When the same reporter asked about this offer to Himesh, he arrogantly said that he doesn’t anymore work for outside banners.
