A. R. Rahman’s international career which has taken off in a big way after Slumdog Millionaire, keeps encountering snags, thanks to long-pending assignments back home.

According to sources Rahman has to keep interrupting his international plans to be home for various pending assignments. The harried composer is now seriously thinking of putting all home-made assignments on hold to concentrate on building his career abroad, or else he feels he would lose the international advantage he obtained after Slumdog Millionaire.

Somali Singer K’Naan Loves AR Rahman’s Compositions

K’Naan, the Somali singer and composer, whose World Cup song ‘Wavin’ Flag’ has become the most downloaded international song in India, has shown interest to work with Indian musicians.

Indians are also highly praising his ‘Wavin’ Flag’ number. The rapper has also complimented the Indian music saying that he loves the compositions of Indian music composer AR Rahman. K’Naan added, “I liked Indian music and I have heard many of them but cannot remember all the names. I remember one person AR Rahman as I love his music a lot, he is very good.”

Rahman Postpones The North American Leg of his ‘Jai Ho’ Concert

Indian music maestro AR Rahman has been performing overseas since last month and has received high appreciation for all his performances in the ‘Jai Ho’ concert.

But recently, the Oscar winning composer had to cancel the North American leg of his “Jai Ho Concert: The Journey Home World Tour”, as a lighting rig collapsed in Detroit just before the show.

Rhyme Skool a kid’s Music CD launched by A.R.Rahman, Katrina Kaif and Saregama’s Apurv Nagpal

“Rhyme Skool” a music CD of Saregama Music was recently launched by Saregama’s Apurv Nagpal along with Oscar winning music director A. R. Rahman and the gorgeous Katrina Kaif. The CD launch was held in Mumbai at the 5-star hotel “Intercontinental The Lalit”. On this occasion Saregama’s CEO Apurv Nagpal “I am very happy to launch the music CD of “The Rhyme Skool”. The launch of this CD was possible only due to the efforts taken by A. R. Rahman and Katrina Kaif. It was a joint initiative taken by all of us to launch a music CD only for kids. I am very thankful to both them and I owe it to them.
