December has not been a good month for Bollywood music thus far. Unfortunately the arrival of Sunday continues this trend! Can you believe this movie has more music directors than actual songs??! Amazing!
Missing Sunday (Sandeep Chowta) -You may have heard this song playing in the promos these days. Usually promos are called promos because they “promote” the movie. But here it is the opposite effect because it is demoting the movie. Maybe we should call promos that demote movies “demos” or “demots”. Sung by Mahlia Kamath, Suraj & Earl Edgar, this song has a westernized R&B feel to it with which it tries to have that cool effect that is intended to appeal to the youth. But the problem with the song mainly is that nobody wants to listen to a song about a missing sunday! STUPIDITY AT ITS BEST!
Pyar To Hona Hi Hai (Suroor) - How many rock bands does Pakistan have? Sung by Kamran Bari & Mohammed Ali, this song has the Pakistani soft rock flavor to it but really doesn’t offer anything new. So if you are a fan if this genre you can give it a try. OKAY
Loot Liya (Daler Mehndi) - Daler Mehndi and Sunidhi Chauhan!! Is there any way this song could go wrong? The music is upbeat but on the average side. After repeated listening this song is catchy mainly because the singing of this pair is too good. Although we do wish Daler Mehndi wouldn’t do those “Loo Loo Loo Loo Loo Loo Loos” throughout the song. This song has a chance at being a chartbuster. Sunidhi Chauhan continues to make a case that she is the top female singer. CATCHY!
Kashmakash (Shibani Kashyap) - Who is this Shibani we do not know. One thing we do know now is that she is not a good music director. Song is sung by Shibani Kashyup herself. SKIP!
Manzar (Raghav Sachar) - Sung by Raghav himself, this song turns out to be one of the bright spots on the album. Song has a Raghav touch to it so if you liked his songs in the past you will like this one. GOOD!
Like many soundtracks these days, this one too has a few remixes. None are worth listening to.
5 OUT OF 10. Only Loot Liya and Manzar stick out…
