Music Review of RGV ki Aag

I hav had mix feelings about different RGV films…but music wise…i have never been a fan of his music (aside from Rangeela, Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, and parts of Jungle)…this time he gets 5 different musicians for this one….none of which are proven music directors. the names include Ganesh Hedgehog
, Amar Mobile
, among others.
Mehbooba - this was the ultimate hyped up song! Ganesh Hedge even said in an interview this song will be completely different from the original, as it will only have shades of that one. Add to it the sexy dance Urmilla is going to do….so this song was suppose to be a sure shot hit….rite?
The end product does not impress at all. There is way to much going on in this song….it starts out with rapping
(why would u need to rap in this song?) Then you hear parts of the original Mehbooba sung by RD Burman (which sounds completely forced) then Amitabh starts talking….then sunidhi sings…..and in the middle of this u also hav Sukhwinder Singh singing. Everyone associated with this song needs to calm down…stop everything….and just let Sunidhi sing…because thats the only part that sounds good (Amitabh is also pretty good in what he says). TAKE EVERYTHING OUT JUST LET SUNIDHI SING!
and now…..the rest of the album

RUK JAA - IF this is the type of song RGV likes…maybe he should talk to me about making music for his next film
Even i can do something better than this….TOTAL 3rd CLASS SONG
DUM - this sounds a lot like the song above…. another BAD SONG
HOLI - at this point….after listening to the songs before this…..this song doesnt sound that bad
….NOT BAD
CHAH RAHA - After a few listens….this song doesnt sound all that bad
is it because my standards are dropping while listening to this album? or is this song not bad? NOTHING SPECIAL….
JEE LE ZARA - this has the singers yelling out stuff like…”No Problem Yaar, YEAAH!” Enough said i think. ALMOST NOT EVEN A SONG
HAI AAG YEH - i got my hopes high for the last song…because the singer is Sunidhi…..but this song is so bad its…… BORDERLINE SCARY!
it is true that a tapori soundtrack was needed for this film, but tapori doesnt have to be bad….(remember APUN BOLA and AATI KYA KHANDALA?) but in this, the music is plain bad….
2.5 OUT OF 10…. NOTE TO RGV - TAKE ME AS THE MUSIC DIRECTOR IN THE NEXT FILM
