Music Review: Hello

There have been many albums releasing the last couple weeks…but sadly almost all have turned out to be complete trash. One has to wonder what is happening to Bollywood music and where it is headed.
Salman Khan is known for showing his loyalty to certain music directors. There was a time when Himesh Reshammiya was a struggling composer and barely had work. But Sallu saw the talent and therefore made sure all of his movies had music by him. But then came Aashiq Banaaya Aapne and we all know what happened from there!
Nowadays Sallu Khan is showing his extreme loyalty to Sajid-Wajid. The problem is that this music composing duo sucks. They may have hit gold with the music of Partner but after that its been downhill for them.
The music of their last film God Tussi Great Ho was mediocre at best…but the music of Hello cannot even be called mediocre!
- Hello (Wajid, Suz Q, Ishq Bector, Herchelle, Merlin & Tim) - One of the stupidest songs I have heard in a long time. The music is amateurish and the lyrics are moronic. There are lines such as “jab phone ki ghanti bajti hai to kehte hain hello”. What a revelation by lyricist Jalees Sherwani. Rating:
- Rab Ka Banda (Sonu Nigam, Zubin & Sunidhi Chauhan) - Does this song even deserve comments? Rating:
- Karle Dance Baby (Daler Mehndi & Sunidhi Chauhan) - Typical Daler Mehndi song. If you are fan of his then give it a try. Rating:
- Bang Bang (Wajid) - This one has been featured in the promos featuring Salman Khan as a rock star. You would think that Salman Khan would have asked for a better song than this. Maybe this is the kind of songs he likes? Whats up with the lyrics in this movie - bang bang boom boom? Rating:
- Mitwa Re (Shaan, Sadhna Sargam & Wajid) - The only romantic song of the album comes as a disappointment also. There is nothing special in the lyrics or music that would make you want to listen to this song more than once. Rating:
- Caravan (Shafaqat Amanat Ali Khan) - Shafaqat is the Pakistani singer who gained fame from his song in KANK, Mitwa Re. Don’t expect the same results with this one. Rating:
Simply put, the music in this film is terrible. One would expect a lot more from a movie featuring Sallu and his girlfriend Katrina Kaif. As far as Sajid-Wajid are concerned, they have nothing left.
