‘That Girl In Yellow Boots’ to be screened at Venice film festival
Indian film director Anurag Kashyap’s latest film That Girl In Yellow Boots, will have its premiere at the 67th Venice Film Festival, which will be held from September 1 to 11 at Venice Lido. The movie has been chosen for the ‘Out-of-Competition’ section.
That Girl In Yellow Boots stars Kalki Koechlin and veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah. The story revolves around Ruth, played by Kalki, who comes to Mumbai in search of her long lost father, whom she does not know well but cannot forget too.

In search of her father, Ruth takes up the job of a masseuse without a permit. After sometime, the city’s sordid side overshadows her and she gets into the deep of the city’s underbelly. Her misery piles on.
National Film Development Corporation of India (NFDC) has co-produced the film, which will also be displayed at the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
Reacting on this, an excited Anurag says, “I am feeling like on the top of the world. I am grateful to NFDC for completing the movie at its post-production stage. I am also thankful to Sanjay Singh, Ronnie Screwvala and Sikhya Entertainment, who offered their unconditional support by lending me the money.”
The cast and crew of That Girl In Yellow Boots also includes Prashant Prakash, Shivkumar Subramaniam, Gulshan Devaiya, Kumud Mishra, Divya Jagdale, and Kartik Krishnan.
Anurag Kashyap and Kalki Koechlin have co-written the film. Naren Chandavarkar has composed music for the film and Rajeev Ravi has done the cinematography.
