Madhur Bhandarkar’s next film, which stars Kareena Kapoor, has been rumoured to be about the life of a successful actress whose career goes spiraling downwards later.

According to sources, Madhur’s film will be based on the life of late Hollywood actress Marilyn Monroe. It won’t be an exact representation as some elements will be modified but a lot of it is inspired from the actress’ life.

Apparently, Madhur had wanted to make the film for very long but things weren’t working out. Now that they have, he is ready to start off with it. He didn’t want anything to go wrong with the film. Marilyn has had a controversial life but he didn’t want it to come out looking wrong.

However, Madhur seems confident that he won’t go wrong now, thanks to all the research he’s done on the actress. He read up as much as he could about her life and also watched a lot of documentaries based on her.

Once he was certain that he could make her story into a film well, he signed on Kareena for the role.

Madhur’s film will star five actors opposite Kareena. The filmmaker is trying to talk to as many male actors as possible.
