Frieda Pinto may be a year old in the glamour world but she’s certainly going places! The pretty lass charmed both Bollywood and the West with her debut Slumdog Millionaire. Since then, she’s been busy with Hollywood projects like Miral. She is now gearing up to walk the red carpet for the Cannes Films Festival 2010.

Frieda will attend the extravaganza as a part of Woody Allens ‘You will meet a Tall, Dark Stranger’. The cast and crew of the film, including Anthony Hopkins, Naomi Watts and Anna Friel are expected to make an appearance at the prestigious film festival. Their film will be screened in the ‘out of competition section’ The 63rd Cannes 2010 opens on 12th May to 23rd May and will see a host of international stars in attendance. Last year, there was a buzz that Frieda had edged out Cannes veteran Aishwarya Rai. This year too, Ash is expected to sashay down the red carpet with hubby Abhishek as their film Raavan would be screened at Official India Pavillion.

Frieda has certainly come a long way in a short time! The girl from Malad had a dream debut and followed it a bunch of endorsements. She is the face of several leading brands and is working with esteemed Hollywood artists. After wowing international audiences at the Oscars and The Bafta awards, she is now headed for Cannes. The happening Ms Pinto is definitely someone to watch out for!
