Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Bombay Velvet’ has been in the news for quite some time. Mainly, because of its title which begins with Bombay and not Mumbai and more so because it has been contended that the film will have either Aamir Khan or Shah Rukh Khan in the lead.


Director Anurag Kashyap has finally revealed that he plans to have Aamir Khan as the lead in his upcoming flick ‘Bombay Velvet’. The film is being produced by Danny Boyle. Anurag informs that King Khan was never in the fray. The makers were sure that only Aamir Khan has the intensity and the depth to enact the character. When asked what he would do if Aamir rejected the script. “We have not thought about it but we will try and convince him. But I think he will like the project as it is tailor made for him. The movie is being produced by Danny Boyle with Studio 18 and is written –directed by Anurag Kashyap.

Currently Anurag Kashyap is looking forward to his upcoming film Udaan which is all set for a July release.
