Deepika Padukone, has all the physical persona as well as the ravishing look. God has been kind enough while he took out some extra time in carving the beautiful lady. Deepika looked the perfect beauty and the brain. Her style statement surely intimidated many a men. Looking fit as a fiddle, she accepted the obvious. “Well, I am here for launching a fitness book (Namita Jain’s), I ought to dress fit…if not tough.”

Refreshing her childhood memories she says, ”As a child I have grown up with a sports background. I am made to understand that it is not essential to be ‘hot’. But what is more important is that one needs to be fit and healthy.” She practices proper sleep, lots of water intake, balanced diet, optimum exercising and regular meditation. Well, no rocket science here.

Confessing to us, “I am not very crazy about westernized outfits. I care for simple and comfortable dressing.” Yet, we see her in the most flamboyant of outfits on the ramp. “I love being on the ramp, modeling was my first passion. Thanks to some of my endorsement deals, I get to visit the fashion runway more often than not. But you can’t dress up every time like that in real life. What’s on the ramp or the red carpet or for certain scenes or characters of a movie, are clothes that may not be necessarily comfortable. Yet, I love wearing them for that one time.”

Deepika will be shortly seen in Karan Johar’s ‘Dostana 2’ with Katrina Kaif. Says, Deepika, “Karan has a great sense of styling his characters. Be it ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ or the magnum opus ‘Kabhie Khushi Kabhi Ghum’, the amount of time, energy and money that is spent in getting the look right in his movies is unparalleled. I am excited to look great and act well in Dostana 2!”

Quite contrary to D2, Deepika will play a blind girl from the by lanes of Mumbai in her upcoming flick- ‘Lafangey Parindey’ and her dressing will be quite ordinary, just about right to match the character.
