dont know abt shoaib akhtar but maybe the editor needs to sort his personal vendetta against himmesh…dragging himmesh in this article is unwarranted…if his movie was a big hit then it means the public accepted him does the editor mean to say that the people r also big fools…and to say that curiosity factor was responsible is again incorrect i mean India is not such a rich country that people will go to watch a movie just bcos they r curious with that logic even RGV’s AAG shud have had as much if not better collections….but that didnt happen why?cos we the paying public r not fools we know what to watch and what not to…besides the comment abt hansika is eqally inappropriate….why even madhuri dixit was known to act opposite newcomers does that mean that she also wanted to set a trend of acting opposite heroes with zero-talent…one has to understand here that India actresses(if i may call them that) hav very little choice and as such they look to make the most of their opportunities bsides the money is a factor too why else sum1 like priyanka chopra who is well-established want to act oppostie harman baweja….coming back to the article i only hope u dont drag himmesh in every discussion…agreed he has shown little acting talent so fa but that doesnt mean that he cant improve…as we say in cricket no batsman/bowler shud be judged after just one performance…sum1 like sachin tendulkar took 146 days to score his first run…..we all will be in a better position to comment after himmesh has done a few films

wow… tens of thousands of indians flocking to mumbai for a chance in a movie role and they give a pakistani the lead role… jai hind… and on top of that he asks for an 8 crore pay check when most of the top bollywood actors dont get that much??? our producers are willing to give that too.. awesome i should say. first it was britishers when india was on top… now everyone else…

@ Raj - First of all, this is believed to be just a rumor. Second, even if it were true - can you blame the producers? Getting one of those “tens of thousands” of new faces will not get any producer a hit film. But on the other hand having a well known cricket player in a movie will get the publicity a film needs.

Shoaib Akhtar is ofcourse not going to a be a good actor but the hype and curiosity associated with him being in the film may be enough to make the film a success…and that is all the producers (especially the smaller banners) need!
