It is believed that the movie would be made under AK productions banner. Sources close to Aamir Khan say that it is him who persuaded Mansoor Khan to make a comeback after such a long absence.

Leading ladies of the movie are not known yet, but the buzz is that Kareena Kapoor might be roped in as she is too excited to work with Aamir Khan after the humongous success of 3 Idiots.

Since the last few years, whatever Aamir Khan touches is turning into gold. It would be interesting to watch how this in-house movie fares at the box office. Would it surpass Ghajini and 3 Idiots? Would this movie give Imran Khan the much needed hit? Only time will tell!

Kurbaan is yet another movie on terrorism which tries to show both sides of the coin, but most of the time ends up glorifying the west and the general conceptions.

I don’t want to reveal the story here… so here is a quick look. The movie is based in United States where a group of Islamic terrorists try to blow up the subways.

If you have seen New York, you don’t need to see this one. Many scenes look the same. It is as if Karan Johar stole the script from Yash Raj’s office. But if you want a polished movie with some great acting, you should definitely catch this one.

Saif Ali Khan has evolved like no other in Bollywood. This has to be the finest performance of his career after Ek Haseena Thi. Kareena Kapoor as a helpless wife is excellent once again. Vivek Oberoi is not great, but carries the character well. Veteran actors Om Puri and Kiron Kher give adequate support. Nauheed Cyrusi and Diya Mirza are there for a minute or so, and do justice to their play time.

Salim-Sulaiman do not have many tracks in the movie but their soundtrack has an international feel to it.

Director Rensil D’souza makes an impressive debut. Hope he does not end up like Nikhil Advani. Karan Johar the producer has made sure that he gets the best of talents from technical as well as acting departments. Surprisingly, even the American extras are great.

Many critics have mentioned that the movie does not get preachy, but I don’t think so. The movie does get preachy at times, and plays to the stereotypical conceptions that most of the Muslims are terrorists or fundamentalist.

Come this October (Diwali)… you will witness the clash of two of the most anticipated movies of this year, Kites and Kajraare. If you are not aware of the star cast and still wondering about Iron Body and Iron Nose, here is the list: Kites would star Hrithik Roshan, Kangana Ranaut and Barbara Mori.

The movie is directed by Anurag basu. Whereas… Kajraare would star Himesh Reshammiya and Pakistani beauty Mona laizza. The movie is directed by actress-turned-director Pooja Bhatt.

More than anything… this is going to be the clash of Alphabets. Both the movies have ‘K’ as the starting alphabet in their titles. We know how crazy the producers and directors are after ‘K’. And if that is not enough, both the actors’ names start with ‘H’.

All said… I have a strong feeling that both the movies are going to bomb big time at the box-office. How long could anyone survive with six packs and Sinus affected nose?
