Seeing the suspect cast and that Roop Kumar Rathod made the music, I knew this album was hopeless. I wonder why he even makes music? Is there such a shortage of musicians that singers (such as Roop Kumar Rathod and Sukhwinder Singh) have to make music for films?

After hearing so many negative ratings on this film, I thought to myself can it really be that bad? After all its a Yash Raj film starring mega stars Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Anil Kapoor. Even if the story is weak, can’t these four join together and deliver perfomances that save […]

The reason this movie caught my eye is because Anu Malik is doing the music. I know that majority of people believe that his best days are behind him, but I am in the minority who thinks who still has something left. I still remember the gold old days in the 90s when every other movie had music composed by him. Despite his heavy workload during that decade, Anu Malik was consistent in delivering hits.
In 2006 he impressed me with Jaaneman and then disappointed with Zindaggi Rocks. With Jaaneman he proved (to me at least) that he still has something left in the musical bank…

After rocking us with a record breaking number of hits only two years ago, it seems Himesh Reshammiya has vanished now. As he spends his sweet time working on one or two films every year, what do his fans do now?
His doubters are saying that he is history now, and his lucky run is over. […]

Mithunda’s son, Mimoh Chakraborty, makes an entry into Bollywood with a movie called Jimmy. Usually when the son of a star makes his entry into Bollywood, there is a lot of hype before the film releases. Not so much in this case.
Anand Raj Anand could have helped by giving some good music. Usually a reliable music director, he goes completely off the mark in this one.
Bappi Lahiri had his time - remember Gori Hain Kaliyaan (Aaj Ka Arjun) and Mahiya Teri Kasam (Ghayal)? But I fail to understand why he is still composing because it is quite evident he has lost his mind.
Vijay Verma also composes one song in the album. Who is he? Chances are, we will never know.

I would start off by saying how big the expectations are from this film and its music, but I won’t. Because Yash Raj were once the best banner when it came to quality music. But now with every passing movie their standards fall lower and lower. With Tashan, the slope continues downward. Sad thing is that putting together such a great cast isn’t easy. And when they do come together they deserve at the very least a memorable soundtrack…

As March winds down…heres the top 5 must have songs:

Mukesh Bhatt’s films may be very good or very bad, but they always provide something different. His films almost always have copied music, but it is always good music.
Emraan Hasmhi showed us in Awaraapan that he is a great actor. Music-wise his films have never disappointed. In fact it would be hard to find another actor with a music resume better than his.
Pritam is the hottest musician in Bollywood right now. And for good reason. He may be the biggest copycat in the history of Bollywood (even overtaking Anu Malik!) but you cannot deny the fact that this man dishes out hits after hits. His music is always popular amongst the masses.
So when all three of these men come together in a film…how can it ever go wrong?

Race already had a couple of hit numbers to begin with, but now Pritam has added the track Sexy Lady which is probably the best of the lot. The song seems like a mix of previous hits composed by Pritam - and the end result is one rocking song. It seems Pritam has an assembly […]
